Velour Ribbon is a female VR Buddy Madness protagonist created by [[Cymbourine]]. She debuted her protagonist role in [[Gabriel Barsch (Creator)|Gabriel Barsch]]'s animation [[VELOUR.mp4]] and had prior cameo appearances in other projects as well as artwork.

== Appearance==
Velour stands out not only as female, but also for having a fully expressive face, a feature she shares with a couple other non-official Madness characters like [[Gabriel Barsch]]. She wears a gray dress with a red central pocket, a red scarf and her large signature red ribbon on her head. She wears black fingerless gloves, and has once been portrayed having black tinted fingernails. Unlike most other Nevadeans, her shoes are more detailed, also having spikes underneath that she occasionally uses to stomp opponents to death.

She has straight brown hair and brown eyes with large black eyelashes. She is often depicted having a green, transparent wireframe body underneath her clothes: this appears to be the equivalent of being "naked" for Madness characters, as in [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkSDum_43vk&ab_channel=GabrielBarsch Zapchon Tries Energy Drink], a grunt blushed after taking a picture of her in that form.

This green wireframe also appears when she is wounded, and she has been depicted possessing green blood and tongue. This heavily implies all her insides have this color and she only has the usual gray Nevadean skin on her head, while the rest of her body is fully transparent with a green wireframe around it.

Velour is heavily distorted in PROJECT: Felony, appearing with a rectangular-shaped body and unnatural movements, holding a PNG real "pistol". Her tongue is also not depicted as green in this form.

==History ==

Velour appears as the protagonist in this animation. She is jailed inside a high security [[NCorps]] facility and has just escaped containment, raising the alarms of the facility. She goes around killing many Nexus troops and security personnel and ultimately escapes successfully through the front entrance with a motorcycle, stolen from a [[MadEats]] employee after interrupting an NCorps officer's delivery.

=== Zapchon Tries Energy Drink ===
Velour makes a small cameo appearance as Zach zooms past a bus stop at high speeds, causing the resulting wind to lift her dress and a nearby grunt to accidentally take a photograph. This causes her to intimidate the grunt as the latter runs for his life only to trip, fall and die comically.

=== Jailbreak ===
Velour makes an appearance in the form of a desktop background on a [[NEXUS Police|Nexus Police]] officer's computer. She can be seen with a smoking gun and flipping off an unseen person.

=== PROJECT: Felony ===
Velour makes a quick appearance in a heavily distorted form during the animation, engaging [[Redzad]] only to be killed by him throwing a textbox at her as if it were a grenade.

==Abilities==
Velour has been shown to be exceptionally strong, even when compared to some other Madness protagonists, most notably portrayed when she wields her iconic megahammer (which she has also been portrayed being able to summon at will), smashing enemies into walls and floors, and even moving tons of dirt with her strikes. Despite the large surface area of her shoe spikes, her stomps are so strong that she can crack open skulls with them, and she was once able to blast an armored [https://madnesscombat.fandom.com/wiki/G03LM G0L3M] through a steel door by simply charging onto them in full speed.

Velour also possess immense endurance, surviving an RPG explosion in an elevator as well as being dragged many dozens of meters through solid ground. This is amplified by her regeneration capabilities, not too dissimilar from [[kryy]]'s (though maybe not as powerful).

Similarly to many other Madness protagonists, Velour has insane agility and reflexes, dodging bullets and melee attacks from behind. She is also proficient with both melee and ranged weaponry, and can easily switch between very different weapons quickly and easily during combat.
